We approach each home theater project with a clean slate. Based on a number of different conversations we will have with the homeowners, we’ll put together an initial room design that factors in their budget, aesthetics and expectations on the performance of the audio and visual components. Some clients might expect a simple screen and projector setup, while others prioritize a truly dedicated room for their theater, complete with theater seating, acoustic treatments, and the most immersive entertainment experience that money can buy.
In upcoming blog posts, we will feature different home theaters that fall within varying price points to help grow your “ideabook.” The photos shown in this post demonstrate a high-performance theater that doesn’t cut any corners. We worked in tandem with interior designer, Julie O’Brien Design Group, to assist in specifying a variety of materials and finishes that met her design goals as well as the homeowners’. From the custom acoustic wall panels, to the acoustically transparent approach to in-wall speakers, the motorized leather theater seating, and the 3D fiber optic starry sky, this space separates our homeowners completely from the outside world. Combine all of that with the following equipment, and we helped build a home theater that beats going out to a commercial movie theater any day!:
-Sony 4K Ultra HD Projector
-Screen Innovations Zero Edge Projection Screen with Acoustically Transparent Screen and LED Backlight
-Sonance Cinema Reference Speakers with Dual i10 Subwoofers
-11 Channel Dolby Atmos Speaker Configuration (7.2.4)
-Anthem Surround Receiver with Dolby Atmos & Anthem Room Correction
This theater project was a part of a larger solution that we provided the client, who incorporated smart home technology to control motorized shades, lighting automation, distributed audio, security and networking throughout the rest of their home. Therefore, the theater features a Control4 controller and can easily be operated from a simple wireless remote, or from any of their wireless mobile devices that all utilize the same easy-to-use Control4 app.
